Triazine Based Biocide is a highly active bactericide/bacteriostat and fungistat containing Triazine as the active ingredient. It is used in oil and gas, metalworking and other industries. Triazine Based Biocide can be used in all types of water-based drilling fluids and completion fluids to prevent and control bacterial growth. It is often used in polymer-based drilling fluids to control bacteria contamination and prevent the biodegradation of natural and semi-natural polymers such as starch, CMC, PAC, HEC, and guar gum, especially for prolonged fluid use and re-use. Other typical applications include packer fluids, seawater, low salinity drilling fluids and other low salinity fluids.
