Sulfamic Acid
Sulfamic Acid, also known as Amidosulfonic Acid / Sulphamic Acid, is a water-soluble inorganic acid widely used for industrial descaling, acid cleaning, boiler cleaning, heat exchanger cleaning, cooling-system maintenance and metal-surface treatment. Its chemical formula is NH₂SO₃H and its CAS Number is 5329-14-6. It is normally supplied as a white crystalline powder or crystals.
Sulphamic Acid is an odorless, white, crystalline (sand-like) solid. It is used in cleaning metal and ceramics, dye manufacturing, for stabilizing Chlorine in swimming pools, in electroplating, and as a bleaching agent.

Sulphamic acid is used as an acidic cleaning agent, typically for metals and ceramics. It is a replacement for hydrochloric acid for the removal of rust. In households, it is often found as a descaling agent in detergents, cleaners and toilet cleaners for the removal of limescale.
Sulfamic Acid for Descaling

5. Metal Cleaning
Sulfamic Acid solutions are used for removing rust, lime scale, oxides and mineral deposits from selected metal surfaces. Commercial formulations commonly incorporate corrosion inhibitors where required.
