Maleic anhydride colorless crystalline materials manufactured in the form of needles, flakes, pellets, rods, briquettes, lumps or a fused mass.
Maleic anhydride is most commonly used in manufacturing of resins and plastics, agricultural and industrial chemicals, petroleum additives, paper sizing, water treatment chemicals, epoxy curing agents, artificial sweeteners, flavor enhancers, hair sprays, pharmaceuticals and copolymers.
Maleic anhydride vastly used is in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins.
