In a similar manner, the powdered solid sample is dosed with a lithium borate fusion mixture and placed within the ceramic cradle. The fusion fluxer then heats and agitates the mixture to encourage the sample to dissolve before being poured into a magnetically stirred beaker that contains an acidic solution.
The fusion mixture is the mixture containing the salts of sodium (Na) and the potassium (K) salts. Generally used fusion mixture is the potassium carbonate and sodium carbonate mixture. The fusion mixture is very much effective for the qualitative analysis for the organic compounds for different groups.
Fusion mixture Cat No Relevant identified uses of the substance or mixture and uses advised against LD50 Lethal Dose 50%.
A mixture of sodium carbonate and borax is suggested as a flux for the chemical analysis of fused alumina refractories.
