Typical uses :
- Corrosion inhibitor: Used in industrial boilers, nuclear power plants, and thermal power plants
- Lime scale and heavy metal scavenger: Used in water treatment
- Oxygen scavenger: Used in ultra high pressure industrial sites
- Blowing agent: Used for polymer foams
- Precursor to pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals: Used in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries
- Propellant for in-space spacecraft propulsion: Used as a long-term storable propellant
- Reducing agent: Used to reduce exfoliated graphene oxide (GO) for the preparation of GO nanocomposites
- Reagent: Used in the synthesis of 3-amino-2-thiohydantoins by reacting with alkyl isothiocynatocarboxylates
HH is used as a reducing agent, an oxygen scavenger in treatment of boiler water, and as a source for drug - hydralazine is an anti-tubercular drug, as well as for agricultural chemicals, and other hydrazine derivatives.
